Job summary

Wa-Nee Community Schools in Indiana seeks a part-time cook to prepare meals and maintain a safe dining environment. Work 4.75 hours per day supporting the Food Service Director and Cafeteria Manager.

You will follow menu plans, assist with lunch service, attend training, and work as part of a team across Wa-Nee buildings. Must have a high school diploma and pass health screenings.

Evaluation Period:

Formative evaluations throughout the school year as per WCS Performance and Assessment Procedures.

Annual summative evaluation prior to July 1.

Purpose of the Position:

Responsible for preparing food and maintaining a healthy environment for food consumption.

Minimum Requirements

The following are the qualifications and minimum requirements necessary for a person to perform this job.

• High school diploma
• Meet all mandated health screening requirements
• Ability to establish working relationships with co-workers and function as part of a cohesive team
• Ability to interact comfortably and confidently with students and staff

Essential Functions of the Position

Physical Demands

• Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.

• Must be able to lift items of 20 lbs. regularly/50 lbs. occasionally.
