Job summary

The role requires two years of food service experience with administrative duties such as ordering and budgeting. CPR/First Aid and a valid driver's license are required, with benefits including dental and vision for relief staff.

Qualifications

• Two years of paid food service experience, with at least one year handling admin duties such as food ordering, budget management, inspection planning and compliance, and equipment operations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals; ability to write reports and correspondence.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts and perform basic math.
• Must obtain CPR/First Aid and Defensive Driving certifications during orientation; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and ensure compliance with regulations and the approved menu schedule.
• Plan meals per dietitian-approved menus and notify Director of substitutions.
• Manage inventory and ordering of food and equipment to ensure adequate supply and timely preparation.
• Maintain sanitary and safety standards in kitchen and prep areas.
• Keep required written records for the food service operation.
• Know procedures and policies including Life Safety and Emergency procedures.
• Work assigned schedule and attend required appointments on-site.
