Job summary

Allegheny Health Network's Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, PA is seeking a part-time Food Service Associate for rotational duties. You will assist in serving meals to patients, staff, and visitors, operate registers, handle basic food service tasks, and maintain sanitation across areas per policy.

Responsibilities include proper food handling, stocking, dish/pot room work, waste disposal, and compliance with HIPAA and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Basic computer and math skills and the ability to count money bags and make change.
• Preferred: Experience in food services.

Responsibilities

• Uses proper food handling, portioning and storage techniques according to departmental standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Performs register duties to process customers according to procedures.
• Performs dish room / pot room duties in a timely, organized manner to supply clean supplies.
• Disposes of trash according to procedures; cleans and sanitizes containers to meet sanitation guidelines.
• Maintains sanitation and safety standards according to departmental and regulatory requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned and required.
