Job summary

Sodexo Ltd is hiring a part-time Food Service Assistant in Washington. You will prepare, serve and present food and beverages, welcome customers, and support catering for meetings and events in a fast-paced environment.

The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining hygiene standards, and working flexibly as part of a wider catering team. Prior catering or hospitality experience is desirable, with Food Safety knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or hospitality is desirable
• Friendly and approachable with a passion for customer service
• Reliable, flexible and organised approach to work
• Ability to work effectively in a busy catering environment
• Food Safety Certificate would be advantageous, training can be provided

Responsibilities

• Prepare, present and serve food and beverages to deliver friendly catering service
• Welcome and serve customers with excellent service throughout their visit
• Operate the till and process customer transactions when required
• Support hospitality services for meetings and events
• Keep food counters stocked, clean and attractively presented
• Refill and maintain vending machines with rotated products
• Support stock rotation, stock takes, and waste minimisation
