Job summary

The Salvation Army Williston Corps is seeking a dedicated Food Pantry Assistant to support daily pantry operations, including receiving, organizing, storing, and distributing food and donated items. You will assist with donation pickups, inventory management, and volunteer training, while delivering courteous, person-centered service to participants.

Position details: $15 per hour, 25 hours per week. Site-based role with no remote work, requiring a valid driver's license and ability to meet MVR

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Receive, organize, store, and distribute food and other donated items.
• Drive to local businesses and community partners to pick up donations.
• Prepare and distribute food boxes and groceries to participants.
• Assist with volunteer training and provide day-to-day guidance to volunteers.
• Maintain pantry cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health standards.
