Job summary

The YMCA of the North Shore in Ipswich, MA is hiring a Floating Teacher for the Early Learning Center. This part-time role supports teachers with daily activities and helps create a safe, engaging environment for children.

You will assist with curriculum, supervision, and family communication while meeting MA EEC requirements and CPR/First Aid certifications. Compensation ranges from $18 to $24 per hour with paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years old and enrolled in HS or equivalent.
• Must meet MA EEC childcare requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and leadership with daily classroom activities and routines.
• Support curriculum implementation and age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Help foster children's development across multiple domains.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organized learning materials.
