Job summary

The YMCA Early Learning Community - Chippewa Falls is seeking a part-time float teacher. Morning and Afternoon shifts are available, with 15-25 hours per week. This role is ideal for college students or parents looking for flexible, entry-level opportunity.

Float staff support classrooms during regular absences and breaks, helping to maintain a nurturing learning environment. The YMCA of the Chippewa Valley is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Early Childhood Education classes are a plus.
• Experience working with children.
• Willing to participate in furthering childcare education courses paid for by the YMCA.
• Positive attitude, good communication skills, team player and professional.

Responsibilities

• Floats support classrooms in regular teacher absences, breaks and any other needs to the children as directed.
• Morning and Afternoon shifts available! Learning opportunities for new teaching staff to become qualified Lead Teachers.
• Assist with daily activities and supervise children to ensure safety and engagement.
