Job summary

Matthews Memorialization is seeking an Assembly Operator to join our manufacturing team in Searcy, Arkansas. This part-time flex role involves assembling product using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, adhesives, and fasteners to meet production standards.

You will follow procedures, monitor quality, maintain a clean work area, and collaborate with peers. Starting pay is $18.36 per hour for up to 30 hours per week, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 0+ years of assembly experience or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite, Outlook and internet applications.
• Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management and planning skills.
• Basic verbal and written communication and ability to interpret data.
• Understanding of basic mathematics concepts.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships across the organization and with clients.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Operates assigned equipment or tools safely per safety programs and rules.
• Follows procedures and work instructions; review materials on site.
• Monitors Quality Points and records data; reviews information on site.
• Reports quality and production concerns to Supervisor.
• Cross trains on all work stations within department.
• Performs preventative maintenance on tools, jigs and fixtures as scheduled.
• Keeps work environment neat and clean.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
