Job summary

SavATree in Carmel, IN seeks a Mechanic to keep fleet vehicles and equipment ready and safe through preventative maintenance and repairs. A typical day includes performing preventative maintenance, coordinating repairs with field staff, reviewing inspection reports, ordering parts, and training team members when possible.

You should bring hands-on experience with small and diesel engines, aerial lift trucks, spray equipment, and the ability to read manuals and diagnose issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in small engine repair and two-stroke engine maintenance.
• Diesel engine repair and maintenance experience.
• Experience operating and maintaining aerial lift (bucket) trucks.
• Experience with spray equipment, tanks, and pumps.
• Your own basic tools for engine repair and maintenance.
• Ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals, diagnostic charts, and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues.
• A valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
• ASE certification a plus.
• Authorization to lawfully work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance and major repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Coordinating repairs and maintenance with Managers and field specialists.
• Reviewing Vehicle Inspection Reports to prioritize work and address issues promptly.
• Ordering and receiving parts and supplies, completing required paperwork for the office and vendors.
• Training field specialists on equipment maintenance and safe vehicle operation whenever possible.
• Maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment in the shop and yard.
