Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking a Part Time Electronics Technician to ensure the reliability of electronic systems across the City bus fleet. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of components, from fareboxes to camera systems, ensuring on-time service and passenger satisfaction.

You will troubleshoot with meters, oscilloscopes, and test benches, perform PMs, and collaborate with City maintenance teams. A valid state driver's license and own tools are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on electronic systems and subsystems in City buses.
• Troubleshoot using meters, oscilloscopes, and test benches to identify failures.
• Replace defective parts and modify systems as required.
• Provide timely field support to minimize service disruptions.
• Collaborate with MV and City personnel to resolve issues.
• Manage inventory control for electronic components and coordinate returns.
• Assist in training of other maintenance staff.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records for equipment.
• Monitor systems to ensure peak performance and reliability.
• Adhere to electrical codes and written specifications.
