Job summary

Texas A&M AgriLife Institute for Advancing Health Through Agriculture is seeking a Part-Time Fleet Driver in Dallas to support the Fleet team with the safe, reliable, and timely movement of vehicles, research materials, supplies, and equipment. You will transport items, maintain delivery records, inspect vehicles, and assist with loading, unloading, and basic upkeep of RVs.

The role reports to the Fleet Manager and requires a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: High school graduation or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
License: Valid Driver’s License.
Ability to operate several types of vehicles including RVs and maneuver safely in traffic.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Ability to carry out verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

Operates organization vehicles safely and responsibly while following regulations.
Picks up and delivers research materials, supplies, equipment, and documents on schedule.
Maintains accurate delivery and pickup records.
Inspects vehicles and reports maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
Handles laboratory materials carefully and transports sensitive items.
Communicates professionally with laboratory staff, vendors, and personnel.
Assists with loading, unloading, and organizing items as needed.
Keeps vehicles washed and clean.
Performs basic upkeep of RVs and related tasks.
Performs other duties as assigned.
