Job summary

Planet Fitness in Muskegon, MI is seeking a part-time Fitness Trainer to design individualized exercise programs for members with varying experience and health goals. You will lead small group sessions, demonstrate exercises, and provide safe regressions or progressions.

You will work under the General Manager and Fitness Training Support Managers, promote the PE@PF program on the gym floor, assist with member services, and stay aligned with the Judgment Free Zone brand while supporting a

Qualifications

• Certifications from NASM/ACE/NCSF/NSCA/ISSA or NSPA preferred; provide copy to GM.
• Must be CPR certified with valid certification.
• Excellent understanding of Life Fitness, Matrix and Precor equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design individualized exercise programs and follow-up for progress.
• Lead PE@PF small group sessions (30–60 minutes).
• Market the PE@PF program and recruit members on the gym floor.
• Inspect equipment for safety and document per SOP.
• Assist with service desk and member sales as needed.
• Educate members on PE@PF programs, equipment, and digital resources.
