Job summary

Fordham University invites applications for part-time Non-Tenure Track faculty in the English Department to teach first-year Writing & Composition. Instructors may teach up to two courses per term at Fordham's Rose Hill or Lincoln Center campuses, with scheduling based on department needs and candidate availability.

We seek instructors with a terminal degree and a proven record in teaching writing, committed to inclusive pedagogy and antiracist practices, aligned with Fordham’s Jesuit mission

Qualifications

• Terminal degree (PhD or MFA) required for new hires.
• Minimum of one year experience teaching first-year writing courses at college/university level.
• Experience teaching culturally and linguistically diverse students.
• Demonstrated commitment to student-centered best practices in teaching writing.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to two sections of Composition II or Composition I per term.
• Teach in Fordham's first-year Writing & Composition Program.
• Apply inclusive and antiracist teaching practices in the classroom.
• Submit tailored materials through Interfolio when applying.
