Salt Lake City School District is seeking an Hourly Fire Science Instructor/Teacher to contribute to the Fire Science program expansion at the Career and Technical Education Center in Salt Lake City. This part-time role (FTE .7375, up to 29.5 hours/week) involves delivering state-aligned curriculum and coordinating with district staff to meet instructional goals.

The ideal candidate holds required firefighter certifications and EMT-B, with a background in active service or retirement from a fire

Formación

• Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass fingerprint and background check.
• Current Utah Firefighter certifications.
• EMT-B certified.
• Active employment with fire department or retired from fire service.
• Valid Utah driver's license and insurability evidence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data-based software.
• Strong English reading/writing/presentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop lessons accessible and culturally relevant to students’ needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Utah Core Standards in planning.
• Incorporate literacy and content knowledge in instruction.
