Job summary

BinSentry in Illinois is seeking a conscientious, part-time Field Technician to install and service our devices across rural farm locations. You will travel to sites, maneuver around bins, install sensors and small solar panels, and perform basic troubleshooting while adhering to biosecurity rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Working at heights certification with full understanding of fall protection equipment.
• Clean driving record with ability to drive 8-10 hrs per day.
• Reliable smartphone with basic knowledge to take measurements.
• Organizational and problem solving skills.
• Great communication skills to work with customers and communicate in English.
• Positive attitude and service minded.
• Solid work ethic and respect for others.
• Trustworthy, prompt and reliable.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Physically able to climb and lift more than 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Drive to rural areas to install and service devices on farm locations (1-50 per day).
• Disinfect tires and boots as required; climb bins 10-40 ft tall and install sensor and solar panel. Installation takes 10-15 minutes.
• Troubleshoot basic field device issues.
• Adhere to biosecurity rules for each farm location.
• Maintain accurate mileage records and time sheets.
