Job summary

CORA Services, Inc. in Philadelphia is seeking a Part-time Family Support Specialist to develop family engagement initiatives, provide counseling, and lead parenting programs in CORA and partner schools.

The role includes coordinating family forums, community liaison work, and managing data/documentation, with 20–25 hours weekly and starting pay at $23.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, Counseling, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum three years of experience with children, adolescents and families in treatment/intervention services.
• Knowledge of evidence-based parenting curricula and family strengthening approaches.
• Strong presentation and group facilitation skills.
• Ability to coordinate events, manage logistics, and work with community partners and external experts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate Family Forums on topics like college financial aid, boundary setting, and parenting.
• Liaise with community organizations and school representatives to support engagement and referrals.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling and case management.
• Complete Parenting Programs using approved curricula within CORA and community sites.
• Implement Mother Daughter Circle and Parent and Child Together (PACT) programs.
• Develop outreach to families to promote participation in workshops and forums.
