Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or related field.
• Must possess or be eligible for a Virginia Teaching license.
• Adult Education endorsement preferred but not required.
• Experience in adult education, literacy, or family literacy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare relevant and practical class lessons.
• Implement group or individualized instruction, in-person and remote.
• Administer student assessments using pre- and post-testing materials.
• Collaborate with learners to set goals and monitor progress.
• Maintain effective classroom management to support diverse learners.
• Contact inactive students to encourage attendance and retention.
• Assist program coordinator to meet program goals.
