NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) is seeking qualified applicants to establish a pool for part-time and/or substitute instructors for COLL 1001: Student Success. Applications will be kept on file for the fiscal year ending June 30.

Upon position availability, the hiring department will review candidates from the pool. Design and deliver instruction for day, evening, weekend, and online classes; assess student work and provide timely communication with students and staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in any field.
• Teaching experience in higher education preferred.
• Ability to use an online platform for instruction.

NorthWest Arkansas Community College is seeking qualified applicants to establish a pool for part-time and/or substitute instructors for COLL 1001: Student Success. Applications will be kept on file for the fiscal year ending June 30. When a position becomes available, the hiring department will review the applications on file. After each fiscal year end the application will expire and a new application must be completed to remain in the applicant pool.

Essential Duties

• Design and delivery of instruction for day, evening, weekend, and online classes
• Responsible for student assessment and grading
• Provides timely communication with students, staff, and administrators of the College

Rate of Pay $765 per credit hour

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in any field

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching experience, particularly teaching experience in higher education, is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience with leadership at a community college or educational institution is a plus
• Demonstrated teaching ability is the top priority
• Instructional experience and leadership experience at a community college is a priority
• Ability to use an online platform
• Online delivery of instruction, use of technology for instruction, and experience or interest in project based, service learning, or inquiry-based learning will be given special consideration
