Job summary

San Jac College is seeking a Part-Time Faculty member to teach Pipefitting and Fabrication at the North campus. The position is filled on an as-needed basis for the duration of each course, with potential evening or weekend classes and on-site requirements.

Qualified candidates should have at least three years in pipefitting, familiarity with NCCER standards, and a willingness to pursue NCCER instructor training if not yet certified.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of pipefitting industrial experience.
• Exposure to and knowledge of NCCER requirements.
• Willingness to attend NCCER instructor training if not certified.

Responsibilities

• Teach Pipefitting and Fabrication-related courses to students.
• Deliver instruction via on-site classes, including evenings or weekends as needed.
• Be assigned to teach courses at the North campus with on-site presence.

Job description

Part-Time Faculty - Pipefitting/Fabrication (North)

Teaching Pipefitting / Fabrication related course work.

Part-time faculty are hired on an "as needed" basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective course. A portion of teaching assignment may be evening classes and possibly weekend classes. Faculty are assigned to teach courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College, which may require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location.

Required Qualifications

• Must have at least three (3) years industrial experience in the pipefitting trade with experience in fabrication as it applies to pipefitting.
• Must have exposure and knowledge of the NCCER requirements.
• Must be willing to attend training to become an NCCER instructor if not already certified.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree in pipefitting.
• Have experience instructing trade/technical courses at the college/high school level.

Salary Grade: AH
