Position Summary

This is a POOL position. Application materials for this adjunct position accepted on an on-going basis due to increasing demand for courses in this subject area.

The Workforce and Economic Development Division (WED) of Metropolitan Community College is the leader in innovative workforce solutions and community enrichment. We partner to first develop our community in order to develop it economically for the growth of the Kansas City metro's citizens; families, businesses, industry, organizations, and associations.

As instructor you will aid with promotional opportunities in the Public Safety Institute to provide exceptional continuing education noncredit courses for law enforcement and public safety agencies. The police continuing education courses are often enhanced by a combination of technical training, academic coursework and officer development continuing education noncredit courses.


Minimal Qualifications

  • Class "A": Missouri Police Officer License

  • Five (5) years' experience with a professional police department



AND/OR
  • Instructor Certificate in related field of instruction, or deemed to be a subject matter expert in a related field of instruction.


Preferred qualification:

  • POST Instructor Development Certificate
