San Jacinto College—North Campus invites applications for Part-Time Faculty in Music. Instructors teach Music related coursework on an as-needed basis, with assignments potentially in the evening or weekend and requiring on-site presence at the North campus in Houston.

Positions are part-time, reviewed as openings become available, and do not include full-time employee benefits. Requisition 4883 applies; posting closes 8/31/2027 at 6 pm CST; salary is based on the current Board-approved schedule

Part-Time Faculty - Music (North)

Teaching Music related course work.

Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed if openings become available. These positions are not current vacancies. Instructors employed as part-time faculty are not entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees. Part-time faculty are hired on an "as needed" basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective course. A portion of teaching assignment may be evening classes and possibly weekend classes. Faculty are assigned to teach courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College, which may require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree with eighteen (18) graduate hours in Music or related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in teaching Music coursework in higher education.

Salary Grade: AH

Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year. See Salary Schedule
