Position Overview

Portland Community College is accepting applications to be considered for part‑time faculty assignments in Religious Studies. This is an interest pool; the department will select candidates as courses need arise. Employment is currently limited to individuals residing in Oregon and Washington.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Religion, Religious Studies, or Theology OR a Master’s degree in a related field
• Twenty (20) semester or thirty (30) quarter graduate hours in academic courses in Religion, Religious Studies, or Theology
• Desired for teaching R 210: coursework addressing at least two different religious traditions

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rates determined by course type. Newly hired part‑time faculty generally start at Step1 of the current salary schedule.
• Eligible for Oregon Sick Leave and retirement savings plans.
