Job description

Position Overview

Part‑time faculty in Physical Education and Dance across all four PCC campuses. Currently limited to applicants who can establish residence in Oregon or Washington. The department will consider applicants for substitute assignments and full‑term class assignments throughout the academic year.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach Physical Education or Dance courses to college and adult learners.
• Substitute as needed across district campuses.
• Maintain course materials and student records as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of higher‑education teaching experience.
• Master’s degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Dance, or related field (or equivalent combination of Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees, or Bachelor’s alone with relevant experience).
• Recent experience teaching at the college level or adults of varying skill levels is preferred.
• Willingness to teach and substitute on all four PCC campuses.

Required Certifications

• American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (or equivalent) secured before first class day.

Additional Competencies

• Part‑time candidates not meeting the above qualifications may be considered if holding a current nationally recognized certification in their specialty area.
