The Medical Professions (MP) program at Portland Community College (PCC) is seeking in‑person part‑time instructors. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your expertise of the healthcare industry to support a diverse body of students. Medical Professions hosts courses at Cascade, Sylvania, Willow Creek, Hillsboro Center, and Southeast Campuses. This position may involve travel between sites.

- Bachelor’s degree in a medical, allied health, or applied behavioral science
- Knowledge of career opportunities and requirements in the health field
- Three (3) years experience in a healthcare facility or organization
- Bachelor’s degree in a medical or allied health discipline
- Three (3) years experience in a healthcare facility or organization
- Degree or certificate from a nationally accredited or state‑approved program in the field of EMT, Paramedic, Nursing, or other healthcare discipline
- Required American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Instructor certification
- Completion of AHA Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- Completion of AHA First Aid Training
- Completion of AHA BLS Provider Training
- Three (3) years experience in a healthcare facility or organization
- Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Pharmacology, or other healthcare discipline
- Three (3) years experience in a healthcare facility or organization
- Bachelor’s Degree in a medical or allied health field or a law degree (Juris Doctor)
- Three (3) years experience in a healthcare facility or organization
The PCC district encompasses a 1,500‑square‑mile area in northwest Oregon and offers two‑year degrees, one‑year certificate programs, short‑term training, alternative education, pre‑college courses and life‑long learning.

These positions are included in the bargaining agreement between Portland Community College and the Portland Community College Faculty Federation Employees.

Newly hired Part‑time Faculty at PCC will generally start at Step 1 of the current salary schedule.
Hourly rates are determined based upon the type of course taught (Lecture, Lab, or Lecture/Lab).
