San Jacinto College invites applications for a Part-Time Faculty position in Health Information Management (North campus). The instructor will teach HIM-related course work and participate in course planning and student assessment.

This temporary, as-needed appointment may include evening or weekend classes and requires a credential of an Associate Degree or higher and at least three years of HIM work experience.

Part-Time Faculty - Health Information Management (North)

Instructors employed as part-time faculty are not entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees. Part-time faculty are hired on an \"as needed\" basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective course. A portion of teaching assignment may be evening classes and possibly weekend classes. Faculty are assigned to teach courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College, which may require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location.

Required Qualifications

• Must have an Associate Degree or higher level degree.


• Must have at least three (3) years’ work experience in Health Information Management.

Salary Grade: AH

Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year.
