San Jacinto College is seeking part-time faculty for the Child Development (Central) area to teach Child Development/Early Childhood Education coursework. Positions are reviewed as openings arise and are hired on an as-needed basis, with evening or weekend classes possible.

Part-Time Faculty - Child Development (Central)

Teaching Child Development/Early Childhood Education (Academic) related course work.

Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed if openings become available. These positions are not current vacancies. Instructors employed as part-time faculty are not entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees. Part-time faculty are hired on an "as needed" basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective course. A portion of teaching assignment may be evening classes and possibly weekend classes. Faculty are assigned to teach courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College, which may require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree or higher in Child Development/Early Childhood, with at least eighteen (18) graduate hours in the field of Child Development and/or Early Childhood.
• Three (3) years' work experience with young children.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in teaching Child Development/Early Childhood coursework in higher education.

Salary Grade: AH
