Job Summary

The Master of Archival Studies program at Clayton State University invites applications for a part-time faculty position to teach in its fully online, asynchronous graduate program. The successful candidate will teach one course per semester:

  • Fall Semester: ARST 5000 Principles & Practices in Records
  • Spring Semester: ARST 5200 Arrangement and Description of Archival Material

Course topics may include archives, records management, archival technology, and digital archives. A strong background in electronic records is essential. Additional strengths in records management, reference, access, and outreach are highly desirable.

Required Qualifications

One or more of the following credentials:

  • Eligibility to hold graduate faculty status at Clayton State University
  • Authorization to work in the United States by the time of appointment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification by the Academy of Certified Archivists or the Institute for Certified Records Managers
  • Demonstrated or potential excellence in teaching archival studies
  • Experience engaging students in online learning environments
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience as an archivist or records manager
