The Northfield Area Minnesota YMCA is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to help keep the facility clean, safe, and welcoming for all members. This part-time role supports cleaning, equipment setup, and basic maintenance tasks across the building.

The position requires being on-site, lifting up to 50 pounds, and following safety protocols. CPR/AED, First Aid, and related certifications should be completed within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Age 16 or older.
• Experience following checklists and tasks lists.
• Excellent communication with adults and youth.
• CPR/AED, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Maintains cleanliness of the Northfield Y; sweeps, mops, vacuums, cleans restrooms, windows, and dusts surfaces.
• Restocks toilet paper, towels, soap, and trash bags.
• Removes snow, ice, and trash from entryways.
• Sets up/takes down equipment for programs and events.
• Reports repair needs outside scope to Building and Maintenance Director.
• Opens/closes building and ensures security as scheduled.
