Galen College of Nursing, located in Roanoke, VA, is seeking a part-time Facilities Technician to perform routine custodial work across campus, support security coverage, and maintain cleanliness of classrooms, labs, and common spaces.

You will follow cleaning schedules, replace supplies, and assist with minor maintenance such as painting, light bulb replacement, and repairs to fixtures. The role emphasizes teamwork and a safe, welcoming campus environment for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift 25–50 pounds.
• Good communication with staff and students.
• Minimal supervision required.

Responsibilities

• Performs interior and exterior campus cleaning.
• Maintains inventory of custodial supplies and notifies supervisor for weekly orders.
• Responds to emergency cleaning requests as required.
• Assembles and/or repairs items as needed.
• Uses hand tools and cleaning tools.
• Replaces light bulbs and supplies as needed.
• Paints and repairs walls and doors.
• Performs additional custodial duties as directed.
• Provides minor security coverage as needed.
• Maintains a clean and secure campus environment.
