Job summary

Imagination Station is seeking an Exhibits Technician for a part-time role in Toledo, OH. The position performs repairs, cleaning, installation and de-installation of science center exhibits and related structures, working with multiple divisions and engaging the public as needed.

Responsibilities include installations, repairs, safety checks and collaboration with facilities staff. Evening and weekend availability is required to meet deadlines and guest needs.

Qualifications

• Proficient with hand tools and power tools including table saw and router.
• Basic plumbing and electrical skills are required.
• Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, de-installations, repairs, cleaning and general maintenance of exhibits.
• Complete opening/closing procedures and maintain facility throughout the day.
• Monitor safety in exhibits and respond to routine public requests.
• Coordinate with Facilities Manager on maintenance issues and safety.
• Assist in building operations as needed by facilities staff.
