Job summary

The University of Saint Joseph invites qualified applicants to serve as part-time adjunct faculty within the Nutrition and Public Health Department for Fall 2026. Openings include EXSC120, EXSC310, EXSC325, and EXSC405 with 2–4 credits per course for introductory or advanced exercise science topics.

Responsibilities include teaching, preparing materials, grading, and maintaining office hours; courses may be offered in-person, online synchronous, or asynchronous formats.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Exercise Science/Physiology from a regionally accredited institution.
• Prior teaching experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of how to operate various testing and assessment equipment in the field of exercise science.
• Commitment to the mission of the University of Saint Joseph.
• Physical ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Teach 2-6 credits designated as contact time with the students.
• Prepare lectures, projects, homework, assessments, and other student assignments that align with the course syllabus.
• Grade all student assignments in a timely manner. Provide appropriate feedback to students to promote academic success.
