Job summary

Playa Bowls in Oklahoma City is seeking a friendly Team Member to assist at outdoor events and in-store food service. You will help guests discover their perfect superfruit bowls, assemble bowls with care, and ensure a clean, welcoming environment.

You thrive in a fast-paced setting, handle POS transactions, maintain food safety, and represent Playa Bowls' mission with a positive attitude. Availability nights, weekends, and holidays is required; prior catering or hospitality experience is

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, restaurant hospitality, or event production preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for 5–8 hours, lift up to 20 lbs, and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by events.
• Reliable personal transportation to reach diverse outdoor venues.
• Multitask frequently to access the Point-of-Sale cash register and maintain accuracy of orders.

Responsibilities

• Transport, assemble, and position outdoor event equipment (tents, tables, chairs, trash stations).
• Assist with event food station preparation while maintaining food safety standards.
• Greet guests warmly, answer basic menu questions, and maintain clean areas throughout the event.
• Monitor outdoor elements to keep food at proper temperature and dispose of waste per guidelines.
• Operate the POS system to take and process orders.
• Represent Playa Bowls and its core values in every interaction.

What you’ll do

• Transport, assemble, and position outdoor event equipment, including tents, tables, chairs, and trash stations. Tear down equipment post-event efficiently.
• Assist with event food station preparation while maintaining strict food safety standards.
• Greet guests warmly, answer basic menu questions regarding dietary restrictions, and maintain clean areas by cleaning continuously throughout the event.
• Monitor outdoor elements (wind, heat, light, rain) to keep food covered and at proper temperature. Ensure proper disposal of trash and compost per venue guidelines.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to take and process customer orders
• Represent and embody the Playa Bowls mission, purpose, and core values in every interaction
