Job summary

Iowa Speedway in Iowa hosts major race weekends and seeks a part-time Security Coordinator Event Staff for pre- and post-event security tasks from April 1 to September 1, 2026. The role provides a visible security presence, helps guests, staff, and ensures safety across the venue.

Responsibilities include door schedules, access screening, crowd control planning, staff coordination, and collaboration with other departments and agencies to maintain secure events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Prefer prior customer service and security-related duties.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work nights/weekends as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide lock/unlock schedules for doors and gates at designated times.
• Assist plans to screen all persons seeking access to ticketed/secured areas.
• Assist with crowd control plans and perimeter setup.
• Coordinate staff to patrol the property and monitor for unsafe behavior.
• Assist guests with directions and questions.
• Coordinate scheduling, training, and supervision of security event staff.
• Recruit and grow the security event staff department.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and outside agencies.
• Develop security, traffic, and Emergency Action Plans for facility/events.
• Schedule, contract, and supervise third-party security firms.
