Job summary

Liberty University is seeking a part-time on-site facilities and events helper for Club Sports at LaHaye Ice Center in Lynchburg, VA. You will assist with operations for camps, clinics and special events, keep spaces neat, and deliver friendly customer service for skate rentals.

You will also handle locker room upkeep, skate sharpening, and safety monitoring while supporting multiple club teams and collaborating with a team aligned to Liberty’s mission and standards.

Responsibilities

• Support for all athletic and special events for Club Sports.
• Assist with operations for camps, clinics, and special events.
• Conduct regular walkthroughs to ensure facilities remain neat and clean.
• Clean locker rooms between uses. Maintain public spaces including lobbies, concourses and restrooms.
• Provide excellent customer service at LaHaye Ice Center, including skate rentals.
• Sharpen rental skates to maintain quality standards.
• Monitor safety by ensuring patrons do not enter restricted or unsafe areas while wearing skates.
• Support various Club Sports teams as needed (e.g., lacrosse, hockey, volleyball, wrestling, triathlon).
• Stay informed about industry best practices and collaborate effectively as a team aligned with Liberty University’s mission.
• Driving may be required; if so, use of personal or LU vehicles requires valid license, DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance.
