Job summary

Mylan Park is hiring for Special Events Staff in Morgantown, WV. This part-time, non-exempt role supports event setup, operations, and guest services for a variety of community and athletic events at Mylan Park/Aquatics Center.

You will work with staff to ensure safety, cleanliness, and smooth guest experiences across events and rentals. The position offers evening, weekend, and holiday shifts based on the facility’s event calendar, with emphasis on reliability, teamwork, and a customer-first

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, event operations, recreation, athletics, or hospitality is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, professional, and attentive to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and respond appropriately to changing event needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup and breakdown, arranging tables, chairs, signage, barriers, and equipment.
• Support event operations including check-in, registration, ticketing, admissions, and crowd flow.
• Provide friendly, professional guest services and answer general questions.
• Maintain safe, clean, and presentable event spaces before, during, and after events.
• Communicate needs and issues to the supervisor and assist with vendor and participant coordination.
