Job summary

Ocean State Rental Company in Providence, RI is seeking a careful, reliable driver for our 26' box truck to support tents, tables, chairs, and other event gear. This role does not require a CDL, but you must be comfortable backing into tight venues and operating a liftgate.

You will deliver and pick up equipment, load and secure items for transport, and assist with setup and teardown as needed. The position is part-time, seasonal, with hours varying by event schedule and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record and valid license.
• Experience with box trucks (16'+) strongly preferred.
• Detail-oriented and double-check load lists before leaving.
• Reliable, on time, and good with customers at delivery.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up tents, tables, chairs, and event equipment.
• Load and secure equipment properly for transport.
• Back into driveways, loading docks, and event sites safely.
• Help the crew with setup/teardown when needed.
• Do daily pre-trip checks and keep the truck clean.
