Job summary

Lake Metroparks is seeking a part-time Event Specialist to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of public and private events at Farmpark in Kirtland, Ohio. Under the supervision of the Farmpark Events Manager, this role provides administrative and operational support, assists with event communications, setup, and logistics, and delivers respectful service to participants and partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years customer service or event coordination experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Responds promptly and professionally to event inquiries, reservations, and department communications.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes event contracts, invoices, and related documents.
• Maintains accurate event records and submits activity reports.
• Coordinates facility use and logistics with staff, room setups, ranger support, and equipment.
• Supports event setup, delivery, and breakdown.
• Provides respectful service and safe, efficient event operations.
• Follows safety procedures and reports hazards or incidents.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
