Job summary

Jackson County is seeking an Anticipated Instructor-Welding professional to develop curriculum and deliver welding instruction for adult learners. The role is part-time with evening hours from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, requiring in-person presence and reliable attendance.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of welding experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior teaching or training experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of recent professional experience as a welder.
• Experience in teaching or employee training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaches the approved curriculum and assures that it is delivered.
• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interest and abilities of adult learners.
• Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the adult students.
• Teaches curriculum by using clear objectives.
• Assesses the accomplishments of adult students on a regular basis and provides progress reports.
• Maintains accurate, complete and correct records as required by law and district policy.
• Maintains and cares for facilities, equipment and inventory; and notifies appropriate administration of the need for outside maintenance.
• Regular and predictable in-person attendance is required for this position.
