Blue Compass Interactive in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a friendly Part-Time Event Host to help create memorable guest experiences at West48 events. You will be the smiling first point of contact, assisting with setup, guest welcome, and throughout the event.

Qualifications

• Weekday evenings and weekends availability.
• Reliable and dependable.
• Friendly, outgoing and comfortable interacting with clients and guests.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and take initiative.
• Hospitality, event, restaurant, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Arrive prior to events to help prepare and set up the space
• Welcome clients and guests and provide excellent customer service
• Help ensure the event space stays clean, organized, and ready throughout the event
• Assist with basic AV and technology setup as needed
• Help with food, beverage, and other event needs
• Monitor the space and assist with questions or requests from clients and guests
• Communicate with the West48 team regarding any event needs or issues
• Help with event breakdown and resetting the space at the conclusion of events
• Assist with opening and closing the space
• Provide a friendly, professional presence and help create a positive experience for every West48 client
• Assist with our duties as needed
