Job summary

Hampton Behavioral Health Center, part of Universal Health Services in New Jersey, is seeking a Unit Coordinator to manage the clerical functions of the nursing unit and support patient care on evenings. This part-time role offers a 24-hour weekly schedule (2:45 pm–11:15 pm) with rotating weekends.

You will assist with patient care alongside the treatment team and help coordinate therapy activities and daily living tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience with psychiatric patient population preferred.
• Experience with interventional and administrative duties to support nursing and patient care.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (DOH, DPW, CMS, Joint Commission).
• Excellent documentation and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage clerical functions of the nursing unit to support patient care.
• Assist in direct care and management of patients with medical and behavioral issues.
• Support unit programming to carry over therapy issues and activities of daily living.
• Communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing.
