Festa 3-Generation Family ESL Program in Columbus, OH, is hiring a Part-Time Preschool Teacher. The role involves caring for 3- to 5-year-olds during a guided preschool day alongside English as a Second Language classes for adults on site.

You will plan engaging activities, promote early literacy, and work with a diverse community of families. The position offers evening hours across two options, with a pay range of $14.00–$16.00 per hour and no health insurance or paid leave benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in a preschool classroom.
• Ability to provide a safe, nurturing, and friendly classroom.
• Demonstrated love of children and willingness to play.
• Ability to model and support prosocial skills.
• Experience working with parents who are learning English.
• Comfortworking with community volunteers.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and move as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare children with skills for kindergarten.
• Be on site during scheduled hours and assist with setup/cleanup.
• Plan and support daily enrichment activities using Festa’s curriculum.
• Ensure safety and well-being; support self-care and play.
• Model and promote prosocial skills.
• Guide children in positive behavior management.
• Foster community and friendships among children.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality.
• Report issues to Site Leader promptly.
