Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Part-time Environmental Services Technician at Big Rapids Hospital. You will clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices and ancillary areas, and safely remove linens and waste. You’ll maintain floors, carpets and upholstery, and prepare equipment and supplies for daily operations.

You will collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations, assist visitors and employees, and cover shifts as needed to support hospital-wide cleaning standards.

Qualifications

• Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent public service and/or customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial experience

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices and ancillary areas according to established procedures.
• Remove linens and waste streams.
• Perform interim and restorative maintenance to hard floors, carpets and upholstery as required.
• Assemble, maintain and store equipment and supplies needed for tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure continuity and coordination of services.
• Assist visitors and employees in navigating the hospital to reach their destination.
