Job summary

Rancho Santiago Community College District is seeking a part-time Ethnic Studies Instructor to establish a roster of eligible candidates for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 as needed. The role focuses on teaching a variety of Ethnic Studies courses, maintaining records, and contributing to department activities.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate cultural competency when serving diverse students, including AB 540 and DACA populations, and will adhere to college policies and instructional standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Ethnic Studies or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid California Community College credential.
• Equivalencies accepted by the department for similar fields may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Teach all assigned classes, including evening or off-campus assignments when required.
• Maintain accurate records of student enrollment, attendance, and progress.
• Assist in maintaining course outlines for each assigned course.
• Be familiar with and observe administrative regulations per the Faculty Handbook.
• Participate in department committees and activities.
• Teach a variety of courses/levels within the discipline/area of study.
