Two neighboring school districts in the Mid-Coast Maine region are seeking a qualified, dynamic, and flexible Part-Time ESOL Specialist for an hourly contracted position. This role is designed to deliver targeted English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) services across both districts. While preference is given to local/itinerant applicants, we are open to considering qualified remote providers capable of delivering high-quality virtual ESOL instruction and coordination.
In addition to serving local public school students, this position involves supporting multilingual learners who attend Lincoln Academy —a local private town academy in Newcastle—and reside in its international residential dormitory program. The ideal candidate will possess strong intercultural communication skills, flexibility, and a commitment to helping both local day students and international boarding students achieve language proficiency and academic success.
