Job summary

Southern Avenue Charter Elementary School of Academic Excell is seeking a Part-Time ESL Teacher to provide targeted language support for English Learners. The role involves two hours of ESL instruction daily, collaboration with classroom teachers, and monitoring progress within a compliant, inclusive learning environment.

The selected candidate will hold a Tennessee teaching license with ESL endorsement and an active TN PULSE account, ensuring proper documentation and communication with families

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Tennessee teaching license with ESL endorsement.
• Active TN PULSE account required.
• Experience working with English Learners/ESL students preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide ESL instruction and language-development lessons.
• Monitor EL students' progress and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support EL students.
• Communicate student needs and progress to staff and families.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with state/federal requirements.
