Qualifications

• At least 3 years of clinical veterinary hospital experience.
• High school diploma required; veterinary technician education preferred.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist in appointments with doctors.
• Take history from client and record observations in medical records.
• Educate clients on preventative healthcare and provide follow-up.
• Perform venipuncture, in-house labs, and coordination with outside labs.
• Provide nursing care, medications, and monitoring for admitted patients.
• Assist doctors in medical and diagnostic procedures and anesthesia.
