Job summary

Karmanos Cancer Institute, part of McLaren Health Care, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Grand Ledge, MI. The role covers nursing care within the ED scope, requires an active Michigan RN license, ACLS/NRP/PALS as specified, and may involve teaching and coordinating care for assigned patients.

Schedule: Part-time with 7p-7a shifts; on-call as needed. Prior emergency department experience preferred; ACLS is preferred for other units.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience in a specialty area may be required to maintain unit competency.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• ACLS required within six months for RNs in Critical Care, Emergency, Endoscopy, Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Rehab, ICU and Step-Down; NRP for Labor and Delivery; PALS for Pediatrics; PALS and TNCC within one year for Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Assesses each patient, documents response to plan of care, and takes corrective action.
• Plans and implements the patient’s plan of care and provides patient teaching.
• Oversee all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.
