Job summary
Circle T Ranch in Lincoln, CA is hiring an Equine Program Assistant to support our horseback riding program for individuals with developmental disabilities. This part-time role involves assisting with riding activities, caring for horses, and ensuring a safe, enjoyable experience for participants. We offer an outdoors-friendly environment; training is provided.
Reliable transportation is required. Weekend availability including Saturdays is needed, with additional weekday hours possible based on
Qualifications
- Hardworking with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Outgoing and enjoys working with people of all abilities.
- Comfortable working around horses and handling them safely.
- Enjoys being outdoors for several hours in varying weather conditions.
- Able to walk for extended periods.
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Horse experience is preferred, but training is available for the right attitude and eagerness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist with horseback riding activities and client support.
- Groom, tack, and handle horses safely.
- Lead horses during lessons and activities.
- Clean stalls, arenas, and barn areas as needed.
- Prepare horses and equipment before and after sessions.
- Help provide a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for participants.
