Job summary

Montana Tech's Department of Environmental Engineering seeks a part-time Visiting Lab Instructor to oversee laboratory facilities, lead practical lab courses, and guide undergraduate and graduate students in laboratory work.

The role includes supervising labs and field stations, teaching Environmental Sampling labs, training students in safe lab practices, ordering supplies, and managing waste disposal. A MS or PhD is preferred; PE license is a plus.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Environmental Engineering; advanced students encouraged to apply.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise environmental engineering labs and field stations.
• Teach Environmental Sampling labs and other courses as needed.
• Train students in safe lab practices.
• Assist undergraduate and graduate students in laboratory work.
• Order chemicals, equipment and supplies for laboratories.
• Monitor and lead laboratory waste disposal efforts.
• Other duties as assigned.
