Job summary

Sinclair Community College seeks part-time adjunct faculty to teach Weatherization and Building Performance Training and Solar PV Design and Installation at Madison Correctional Institution in London, Ohio. The department provides education for built environment careers and transfer-ready programs with day, evening and weekend options.

Starting pay is $1,046 per credit hour. Applicants must reside in Ohio, Indiana or Kentucky or be able to work within one of these states.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in a related field or commensurate credentials.
• Five years of relevant work/teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to teach face-to-face in a prison education setting is required.
• Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies.

Responsibilities

• Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and safety.
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections per policies.
• Employ instructional technology and adapt methods to meet diverse needs.
• Submit final grade rosters by deadlines and maintain records.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
